The Phoenix, has been an enduring mythological symbol across different cultures, characterized as a bird with a bright plumage of colors corresponding to fire: yellow, orange, red, and gold.

The most universal characteristic is the bird's ability to resurrect. It dies in a self-created fire, burning into a pile of ashes, from which a phoenix chick is born, representing a cyclical process of life from death.
Because it is reborn from its own death, the phoenix also took on the characteristics of regeneration and immortality.

Only someone as cool as that story can be named like that... and I was lucky enough to take her senior pictures.
Because of the story, the pictures of Phoenix are edited using red and gold tones, just like the original bird feathers and like the fall foliage of our beautiful Pennsylvania.
Enjoy these selection of pictures of Phoenix, an honor student from United High school in Armagh PA, whom like the bird, I'm sure will become a legend.
