Engagement in the Hampton Bays NY

Tim + Joy

I met Tim many many years ago. He was on the same boat that Nick (my husband) was, the one that sank on the coast of Chile in 2000.
Now, 17 years later, Tim and Joy are nurses. They both have the same (and really cool) job. They are traveling nurses, and their job brings them somewhere different every 3 months.  Living out of AirBnb's and working all over the country, makes them an official "wanderlust couple", and even when I am a Pittsburgh wedding photographer, I'm always game when it comes to wanderlust.

Tim proposed to Joy while on a cruise to the Bahamas for her birthday. Do you get the common thing here?

This is why I thought the ocean/beach/marina theme would be perfect to commemorate such a romantic milestone, so we got up at 5 am to chase the sunrise and, of course, there was none.
However, the gray and cloudy morning did not chase us away; instead, we enjoyed the calm and solitude that the Hampton Bays in New York offered to us, resulting in a beautiful engagement session that, of course, holds a special place in my heart.
Congratulations friends!

Thank you Oakland Marina for letting us take these pictures there.
