This saturday (Jan 24th) I had the opportunity participate in the a food swap at the Public Market in Pittsburgh.
It was nice to get to know people, to exchange edible items that we make and to have fun.
I took pictures of some of the action happening there. I could have taken more but I got distracted sampling, lol.
I ended up with some amazing pickles (first time I ever try home canned pickles). Red Roasted pepper, Carrot jam, A lavender soap, a bottle of Limoncello, a loaf of oatmeal bread, a traditional cumin salsa and a more adventurous one with apple and basil, and assorted cookies: chocolate chip scones, chocolate chip corn cake and other ethnic goodies).
Not many of the items were vegan (which played against me), but I still loved everything :)
